The roof on this Eagle Street, Ryde home was showing its age. The barges were severely deteriorated and water was coming in at the corners of the house. With the concrete roof tiles more than 50 years old, the owner chose to have them removed and the roof replaced.
The existing solar panels needed to be taken off before the roofing work could begin. A third-party contractor handled their removal, then returned to put the panels back up after the roof replacement was completed.
We removed the old concrete tiles and installed a new corrugated metal roof. Proper flashings and roof-edge details were completed as part of the replacement, addressing the problem areas around the barges and roof junctions.
The finished roof gives the home a fresh appearance, with the solar panels reinstated on the new roofing. Every photo in this gallery shows the roof and its details after the replacement work.
