This miner's cottage on View Street, Annandale had an ageing Zincalume roof, with a separate timber-shingle roof at the back of the home. The job called for replacing both roof coverings while keeping the cottage's distinctive character.
We removed the old metal roof and replaced the rear wooden shingles with new corrugated metal roofing. A 55 mm Anticon insulation blanket was installed as part of the re-roof.
The project also included custom-curved Blue Orb awnings, retaining the cottage's distinctive curved roofline. See the Corry Curving link in the project details for specialist roof-curving information.
The flashing work was a key part of the finished result. Carefully detailed flashings completed the roof junctions, leaving the rear roof absolutely watertight and the overall finish immaculate.
The customer is thrilled with the new roof. The before-and-after photos show the change from the weathered old coverings to a neatly finished metal roof across the cottage.
